Wendy Sue Bodway (Polar)
September 8, 1958 ¬- August 25, 2021
Wendy Bodway, 62, of Menasha, WI, passed away peacefully at Theda Clark Medical Center after getting pneumonia after injuries sustained from an accident at home.
Wendy was born on September 8, 1958 to Darlene Hintz (Bauer) and Douglas Polar Sr. in Neenah, WI. Wendy married her best friend Michael and built a life together over 42 years of marriage in Menasha. What Wendy loved most was spending time with her family, especially during the summers at the cabin and planting flowers with her grandchildren every Spring. She loved to be outdoors fishing and watching the birds. While indoors being crafty and creative with projects and making Christmas candy to share every year. She loved with all she had and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Always singing and dancing like no one was watching.
Among those who love and miss Wendy dearly are her husband Michael; son, Dale Polar; daughter, Jessica Bodway; step son Tony (Marla) Bodway; grandchildren, Ericka, Lukayla, James, Aaliyah, Peyton, Piper, Tristan, Toni Marie, Clifford, Rhonda; great grandson Ambrose; mother, Darlene Bauer; father-in-law, Robert Bodway; siblings, Douglas Polar Jr., Kari Polar, Cheryl (Jerry) Ulschmid; brother/sister-in-laws, Julie Polar, Judi (Jeff) Collett, Dave (Jo Ann) Bodway, Terri Leece, Becky Schoon, Pam (Randy) Mueller, Bruce (Vicky) Bodway; many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The souls greeting Wendy in heaven include her father, Douglas Polar Sr., brother, Archie Polar; sister-in-law, Joan Polar; stepfather, George Bauer; mother-in-law, Delores Bodway; brother-in-law Dennis Leece.
Her family would like to thank the 6th floor nurses, staff and hospice care at Theda Clark Medical Center who compassionately did all they could to help Wendy during this time.
