Wendella Cook

Wendella "Wendy" Cook passed away at the age of 59 on 03/02/2023.  Wendy was born in Hawaii on 03/18/1963.  Wendy spent her early  years living in Union Grove and attended schools there. In 1985 she enlisted in the United States Army and spent her enlistment in West Germany.  While there, she met and married her husband in 1988.  The ceremony was held during a trip to Denmark.  Following their departure from the Army (1990), the couple settled in Appleton.  Wendy worked as a driver for Schnieder trucking, and later as Safety Director for Straight Shot in Appleton.

 

Wendy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Lynn; mother, Patricia Young;  siblings, Troy Light, Mark (Amber) Young and Beth (Chris) Miller. She is further survived by five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and numerous nephews and nieces.

 

She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Young, in 2021.

 

There will be no services or visitation per Wendy's request.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date.

 

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at ThedaCare regional cancer center for their wonderful care of Wendy.
