Vikki Kae Schmitz

September 21, 1966 — October 7, 2024

Monroe

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vikki Kae Schmitz, a beloved mother, friend, and kind soul. Vikki was born in Monroe, and attended Patricia Stevens Finishing School, where she walked in God's journey of compassion and joy that touched everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and siblings; Robert and Ruthella Simler, and brothers Don (Marcia) and Randy Simler (Beverly).

Vikki, a proud mother, is survived  by two children, Robert (34) and Arianna Schmitz (30), both serving in the military, as well as Aunt of 9 Nephews and Nieces Jack and Joe Simler, Chad, Curt, Michael Schmitz, Samuel and Laura Grossel, and Graham and Claire Howard. Their presence and life stories brought her immense joy, and she was often left speechless by the pride she felt for them.

Vikki was known for her infectious laugh and warming spirit. Vikki had a deep love for people lucky to know her, and an inherent desire to put others first. Her warmth was evident in her role as an Activities Director at a nursing home, and her dedication to caring for others extended to her work as an EMT, and caring for her “critters” on the Fremont farmette.

Vikki’s kindness, love for simplicity, and spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor held at a Monroe, Wisconsin location, time to be determined.
