Tim Edward Gallas

November 15, 1970 — August 22, 2022

Menasha

Timothy "Tim" Edward Gallas, 51, of Menasha, known by many as "one and done" and also known by his friends as "Timmy", passed away on Monday August 22, 2022 at St Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born to Edward and Linda Gallas (Knaus) on November 15, 1970 in Appleton.

Most of his life Tim resided in or near Menasha. In his earlier years Tim enjoyed racing in Crandon with his brother-in-law Glen. Tim was an animal lover having several dogs over his lifetime, none more special than Deuce.

Tim also enjoyed hunting, fishing, sturgeon spearing, riding his Harley, mowing the lawn even when it didn't need it, going to the camper with Kelly and James, watching Brewer and Packer games, cooking or grilling way to much food and then giving it to his friends to eat, a good bon fire, and any time that was spent at the "shop".

He will be remembered for showing up to places on "Tim time", which of course was always late, why? “ Because I do what I want!” would be his reply.

Recently he enjoyed his Thursday night "date nights" with Kelly, where they would try a different restaurant every week. He enjoyed all his time with his son James.

Tim spent a lot of time hunting and fishing with James, teaching him the tricks of the trade. He also taught James how to care for and ride dirt bikes and four wheelers. They enjoyed taking rides on the Harley or the jet ski and stopping for ice cream along the way. They also enjoyed stopping to look at old cars or trucks they were going to one day “fix up”. The latest project was fixing up an old riding lawn mower.

He worked various jobs throughout his life with his final place of employment being Fabel Repair and Collision Center in Appleton and Waupaca. He held many different positions throughout his 15 years of employment there including mechanic, 2nd shift supervisor, and finally as an estimator, where he got to sit and enjoy that very earned camouflage desk chair.

Those left to cherish his memory are: Tims partner of 12 years Kelly Kreif, his son James Gallas, his father Edward (Patti) Gallas, his mother Linda Gallas, Sisters: Tammy (Glen) Mitchell, and Brenda (John) Smith, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his "in laws" Allen (Donna) Kreif and Aaron Kreif. Other relatives and many many friends. He will also be missed by his 2 fur babies Molly and Boo.

Per Tim's request there will not be a funeral or service but a celebration of life in September. Further information to follow.

A special thank you to ALL of Tim's friends and family who helped over the years. Whether it was the little things like taking him to appointments, washing clothes, making food, just coming over to visit, or to just sit and watch a Packer or Brewer game with him. Also, those that helped with the big things that Tim could no longer do like: cutting his sturgeon hole, cutting down trees, pouring cement, or moving a hot tub. There are way too many of you to name and you were all equally important to Tim. I just want you to know that Tim appreciated every one of you and everything you did for him and us.
