Terry Haertl

Terry Haertl, 65, of Appleton, Wisconsin passed away November 26, 2019.

He was born in Colorado Springs, CO. Born December 21,1953, to the late Joan and Donald Haertl. He was raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. Graduated from Appleton West in 1972. Married his wife,Lisa, of 12 years in Feb of 2007.

Terry enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing with his son, always trying to out do each other to see who could catch the bigger fish, watching the Packers and Badgers, a good trip to the Casino and just puttering in the garage. He enjoyed the time he spent as drummer in the Cody Taylor band, he had a great love for music and bowling.

He enjoyed the many summers he spent as a kid at his grandma’s farm in Kansas with his brother and many cousins.

Terry is survived by his wife, Lisa; children, Amy Haertl, Denise (Windal)Allen, Matt Haertl, Andrew Piontek and Jessilyn(Ben) Klaas; Siblings Rick (Sarah)Haertl, Connie(Gene)Newling, Shelly(Jeff) Seif and 4 beautiful grandchildren, Olivia, Kayden, Isaac and Caroline.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Don and Jo Haertl.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday Dec 5th at the Scheig Center in Appleton Memorial Park, 1313 E Witzke Blvd Appleton, WI 54911 from 12 pm -3:00 pm. Prayer service at 1:00 pm by Chaplin Roy Rogers.

In Lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Lisa Haertl at 1206 W Weiland ln Appleton, Wi 54914.

The family would like to thank all of those caregivers who touched Terry’s life in the past 2 years, all the wonderful nurses at Thedacare Appleton, at St Paul where he started his rehab – a very special thank you to Hanna Wilson ,RN who touched his life in more ways then you might ever know. Dr Kristine Juntunen , Dr Julie Abboud and Dr Alexander Tretinyak. To anyone we might have missed, thank you all so very much.
