Susan "Sue" Marie (Adkins) Johnson, age 72 from Shawano, WI passed away the morning of September 15, 2024 in Appleton, WI. Sue was born on September 3, 1952 to Charles and Donna Adkins in Phelps, WI. She graduated from Bonduel High School in 1970, then attended Wisconsin School of Cosmetology in Green Bay.

Sue will be remembered for many things. She had a love for anything hair. She once said, 'I love hair. I like to touch it, cut it, color, and style it.’ She enjoyed gardening, canning different fruits and vegetables, and cooking. Her pasties were a favorite among all who had them. Oftentimes, you could find her sewing, whether it was clothes for the kids or things for her home. In her free time, she enjoyed many crafts like making decorative wreaths, handmade jewelry, and fishing lures. Sue enjoyed darts, pool, and various card games, including cribbage. She was known for her ingenuity and generosity.

Sue is survived by her children, Karlyn (Tim), Bradley (Jennifer), Elizabeth (Adam), Heather (Mark), and Benjamin (Tammy); as well as her 16 grandchildren, Parker, Malik, Jenna, Jessie, Brady, Joshua, Travis, Brennan, Anastasia, Ian, Elijah, Tyler, Emily, Bryce, Isabelle, and Porter. She is also survived by her brother, Charles "Dave" (Patricia); her sisters, Kathleen and Mary (Jeff); along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, James; her daughter, Anastasia; and her granddaughter, Taylor.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bristol Hospice of Green Bay and Meadowbrook at Appleton for the care that Sue received.

A private family celebration of life to be held at a later date.
