Steven Mark Gores

Steven Mark Gores of La Crosse died Monday April 5, 2021 of heart failure. He was born on November 9, 1955 to Frederick and Donna Gores in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Steve graduated from Shorewood High School and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Certificate in Education from UW- Milwaukee. He loved everything about baseball, from movies to books to events. He had a passion for teaching and loved a lively political debate. He was active in local politics most of his adult life. Steve’s greatest happiness was spending time with his children and grandchild. He is survived by a son Marcus Gores (Siyu), daughter Michaela Monteverde (Tom), and granddaughter Joy. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Keith. A private service will be held at a later date. A special thank you to Dave Drewes who was an incredible friend and support to Steve over the years.
