Mrs. Shelly Hansen passed away on June 29, 2022. She was born on November 2, 1966, daughter to Larry and the late Gloria Fehrman and lived her entire life in Appleton. She married Eric Hansen in 1987 and enjoyed a lifetime of happy memories together. They loved traveling and visiting historical and scenic places throughout the US and Europe. Shelly had a great love and passion for collectibles and dealing in antique American and European art pottery, vintage textiles, and mid-century art glass. She was expert in the field of decorative arts and traveled throughout the country with Eric buying and selling collectibles. Many of the pieces of art pottery she sold are currently on display in museums and used in reference books. Shelly enjoyed living in her historic Arts and Crafts home and took great pride in restoring her home with her husband.
Principle in Shelly’s life was her love for her God Jehovah. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 5, 1981. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she enjoyed teaching people about how Jehovah will cleanse the earth and make it a beautiful paradise where sickness, death and sorrow will be gone forever. She held on to the hope of being resurrected back to this earth made into a paradise as the Bible promised at Psalm 37:29 saying, “The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it”. Shelly loved sharing this beautiful hope with others in her ministry.
Shelly is survived by her husband Eric, her father Larry Fehrman, brother Jeremy (Juvy) Fehrman, and her sister in-law Kathy Fehrman. Kathy was a dear friend who sacrificed many months to help care for Shelly.
Eric wanted to include heartfelt thanks to the many friends and family who supported them during this difficult time.
