Sharon M. Harkabus

November 9, 1951 — February 2, 2023

Sharon M. Harkabus, 71, passed away peacefully on February 2nd at ThedaCare Hospital, Neenah, Wisconsin surrounded by her family. Sharon was born on November 9, 1951,  in Chicago, Illinois to Edward Piecyk and Rosemary Gergits. She was a proud resident of Chicago and graduated from Kelly High School in 1969.

Sharon married Alan Harkabus on august 18, 1973, in Hickory Hills, Illinois, at St. Patricia Catholic Church. They moved to Tinley Park, Illinois in 1975. Simultaneously, Sharon started working as a service advisor for Al Johnson Cadillac of Tinley Park. She worked her way up to the “First Lady” of service and three years later was named the Service Manager of both the Cadillac and Saab divisions. In 2007, Alan and Sharon moved to Neenah, Wisconsin, where she enjoyed retirement.

Sharon was very outgoing and enjoyed her time on the water both fishing and boating on her pontoon. She has a passion for crocheting and sewing and always found a way to make you smile.

Sharon was predeceased in death by her parents and her sister, Carol. She is survived by her husband, Alan, her daughters, Theresa (Brian) Harkabus-Hoke, Jennifer (Scott) Janssen and her six loving grandchildren, August, Allie, Anna, Austin, Ryan, and Justin; her sister Diana Piecyk; her sister-in-law Donna Vertucci; and her aunts, uncles, cousins, and nephews.

The Family would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to the fifth-floor staff of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and hospice staff who provided care and compassion.

Sharon did not like to be the center of attention, per her wishes, she will be cremated and buried at a later date.

She will be forever in our hearts.
