Ruth E. Williams

Ruth Eileen (Everson) Williams, 74, of Appleton, WI, passed away on November 23, 2024 at home, surrounded by her family. Ruth was born September 25, 1950 in Fennimore, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Evelyn (Flickinger) Everson.

Ruth graduated from Fennimore High School in 1968, then went on to study music at UW-Platteville. She spent a lifetime singing hymns, especially in the choir at Grace Baptist Church in Stevens Point, WI, and in church at Trinity Evangelical Church in Fennimore, WI.

Ruth held many different positions, but her favorites included working with children in her home daycare, Tyke Ryders, and at the YMCA. She loved her many dogs and the color purple; playing SomeRSet and watching the Green Bay Packers; her Friday night rides with her sister Janie, vacationing in Hayward with her family, and taking her grandkids out for ice cream.

Ruth is survived by her sons: Stephen (Sarah Lane) Williams and Jonathan (Mary) Williams; her siblings: John (Rosalie) Everson, Robert (William Farwell) Everson, and Jane (Jeff) Belstra; and her grandchildren: Charlie, Ike, Emmet, and Evelyn. Preceding Ruth in death are her parents, Herbert and Evelyn Everson.

Ruth will be laid to rest at Homer Cemetery in Boscobel, WI. A private ceremony will be held by Ruth's family to celebrate her life.
