Richard L Ewald

Richard “Rich” L. Ewald, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 9, 2024. He was born on March 10, 1965, in Waupaca, the son of Marlyn and Doris (Snyder) Ewald. Richard attended Truck Driving school in Sun Prairie and graduated with his CDL in 1986. In 2007, he started his own trucking company (Ewald Trucking LLC) and operated privately until 2011. Over the course of his career that totaled an estimated 4 million miles behind the wheel, he managed to maintain a safe driving record with zero at-fault incidents. He loved spending his free time with his children and grandchildren, whether it be hosting cookouts or taking them out on his boat on the Chain O’ Lakes. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and family values.

Richard is survived by his two sons: Brent and Jacob, and grandchildren: Hailey and Christian.

Richard was preceded in death by his daughter: Brianna; parents: Marlyn and Doris, and sister: Vicki.

Per his wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.

His sons would like to thank the first responders and medical staff that cared for him in his final moments.
