Paul Stout was born January 31,1938 in Chariton, LA to Alice and Huett Stout. Paul was a huge St Louis Cardinals fan, and because of his time living in Kansas City a diehard Chiefs fan. In the early 70’s Paul worked for Braniff Airlines and chartered all the flights for the Chiefs. Many of us received his every Sunday text “Go Chiefs”, and that will be missed. Paul was also very active in coaching basketball, football, baseball, and teaching golf. He was amazing at golf and won several company outings. His number one passion was cars, whether it was looking at them, talking about them or watching them race. Many times, on a Sunday we would cruise the local car lots looking at their inventory. This is something that he did right up until going into the hospital. Most of his career was selling cars in Kansas City or Panama City Beach, Florida.
If you wanted to have fun Paul was the guy to hang out with. He loved to have fun, talk, and tell stories. Any place that you walked into either knew him or was his friend by the time he left. Paul's last few days it was very difficult for him to say much. Several times he said to me, “I want to talk". I am sure he is talking fine now with a big, tall scotch in his hand and having a great time.
Paul is survived by his daughter Sherri in St Louis, and her two sons Kyle and Mathew. His son Steve Stout and his 5 children, Shannon Rahm (AJ), Hannah, Emma, Ethan, and Ellie. And of course, what he always referred to as his favorite daughter-in-law Kiersten Stout. Paul will be missed by many and always remembered as a fun-loving sweetheart.
