Patrick John Vande Vyver

Patrick John Vande Vyver, 61, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Mathews Senior Living after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Kimberly on April 20, 1956, to Amede and Helen (Kettenhofen) Vande Vyver. Patrick was the life of the party, known for his great sense of humor. He worked at the Kimberly paper mill and dedicated his life to his kids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a passion for cooking. Patrick had a big heart and loved the company of his beloved dog, “Rakeeto.”

He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family and was preceded in death by his parents. Patrick is survived by his two children: Sara and Cody Vande Vyver; his fiancée Kelly Shanahan; his grandchildren: Caleb and Greyson Vande Vyver; brothers: Mike (Joyce) Vande Vyver and Tom Vande Vyver; and nephews: David, Chris, Matt, and Jonathan Vande Vyver.

A private service for the comfort of the family will be held.
