In Loving Memory of

Patricia Ann Dey-Olson

September 7, 1946 - March 1, 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Patricia “Pat” or “Patti" Olson, who was called home to be with our Eternal Father on March 1, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 7, 1946, in Black Creek, Wisconsin, Pat was the eldest of four children to Harold and Barbara Dey. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1964 and later earned her degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1978. She dedicated her career to the National Groundwater Association in Dublin, Ohio and JJ Keller in Neenah, Wisconsin, where she left a lasting impact.

Pat most recently made her home in Shawano, Wisconsin, with her loving husband, Gary Olson. No matter where life took her - Cincinnati, Araby Acres, the Moose, Fortuna Foothills, Oconto Yacht Club - she carried her faith with her reflecting God’s love through her kindness, generosity, and devotion to others. Pat's presence was a gift and she gave us a legacy of warmth and compassion that will be treasured forever. Known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and radiant smile, she had a remarkable ability to make those around her feel truly valued and loved.

Pat’s life was filled with love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the world around her. She had a passion for the arts, expressing herself through collecting antiques, sewing, and playing the piano in her younger years. An avid gardener with a true green thumb, Pat found joy in nurturing plants and flowers, as well as the people in her life. She loved the outdoors, boating, 4-wheeling in the desert, enjoying campfires at the club, hiking, walking the dogs, or simply embracing nature. She also had a keen interest in family genealogy and could often be found working on a puzzle or getting lost in a good book.

Above all, Pat’s greatest love was her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Gary Olson; her three siblings, Sue (Bill) Schulze, Steve (Pat) Dey, and Janet (Dave) Eschenbauch; her two children, Paul (Wanda) Drews and Charlie (Laura) Drews; and her five stepchildren, Heather (Tim) Riehl, Benjamin Olson, Lindsay (Mario) Mack, Wendy Olson, and Nikki (Paul) Dunham. Pat was a proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren: Paul Henry and Chelsie (Alan) Campbell; Andrea and Alexa; Tia, Bailey, and Tristan; Skyler and Keira; Jamar, Carlos, and Leilani; Steven and Summer; and Kaylea and Georgia.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Barbara Dey.

A private interment will take place at a later date, and Celebration of Life gatherings will be announced in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations be made in Pat’s name to the Shawano County Humane Society, honoring her love for animals.

Pat, you were an incredible wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Your warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of those who knew you. We find peace in knowing you are now rejoicing in eternal life with Christ. Though we miss you every second of every day, we hold onto the promise that we will see you again. Until that day, your love and light will continue to shine in the lives you touched.
