Nancy Ann Rummel (Nordness, Hoelzl), age 70 of Appleton, passed away on Sunday, July 17th, 2022. Nancy was the daughter of the late James and Pauline (Dulek) Nordness and the stepdaughter of David (Ruthann) Klotz. Nancy was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on November 30th, 1951 as one of seven children of James and Pauline Nordness. Nancy is survived by siblings James Nordness, Greg Nordness, Dianne (Rich) Hallisch, Laura (Bill) Dundon, and Laura (Mike) Boulay. She is preceded in death by brother Jerry Nordness and sister Jane (Jim) Solomon. Nancy is also survived by nieces Natalie, Kim, Jessica, Carrie Rose, and nephews Jimmy, Craig, Jim, Jake, Hayden, and Derek.
Nancy attended Solomon Juneau High School for a few years but graduated from Wauwatosa West High School. Nancy married Bruno Hoelzl and together they welcomed son Erik Hoelzl. Later in life, Nancy married James (Dusty) Rummel and together they welcomed daughter Ashley Rummel. While in the Milwaukee area, Nancy worked for Kohl’s Corporate for several years and upon her move north to the Oshkosh/Appleton area she worked for US Bank.
The true loves of Nancy’s life were her children Eric Hoelzl and Ashley (Fernando) Monterrubio. Her greatest joys came from her grandchildren Angel (12), Lucas (10), and Lexi (3). Nancy enjoyed reading, watching old foreign films with subtitles, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all the loved ones left behind.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Nancy later this fall (date TBD).
