Monica Lee (Schinke) Schelfhout
Black Creek – Monica (Muffy), age 50, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025 at her home in Black Creek, WI, after battling brain cancer for nearly three years. Muffy was born November 4, 1974 to Thomas (Sue) Schinke and Nancy (Michael) Brinsko. Muffy married the love of her life Chad on April 12, 1996. Muffy's greatest accomplishment was homeschooling her 6 children. She loved the 4th of July, anything pumpkin, and spending time with friends and family. She also coached/managed soccer teams, scrapbooked, and ice skated. Her favorite thing of all was sharing Jesus with others.
Muffy is survived by husband, Chad Schelfhout; children: Calvin (Isabelle), Ezra (Marissa), Josh (Sarai), Jared (Margaret), Carly, Peter; grandchildren: Lucy, Judah, Rosie; parents: Tom (Sue) Schinke, Nan (Mike) Brinsko; siblings: Ben (Heather) Schinke, Scott Schinke, Melanie (Russell) Madden, Molly Malone, Kezziah (Josh) Barnett, Noelle (Silas) Kirkman; nieces and nephews: Trek, Crew, Samantha, Canden, Emerson, Finnegan, Alex, Jasmine, Addilyn, Noah, Luca, Josiah, Aria, Asa, Zion, Haven; Muffy is further survived by mother-in-law Sandra Schelfhout; brother-in-law Scott (Tara) Schelfhout; nieces and nephews: Logan (Whitney), Jada (Spencer), Ethen (Kayla)
Muffy was preceded in death by siblings, Mandy and Nicholas Brinsko; nephew, Elijah Malone; father-in-law, Dick Schelfhout; brother-in-law, Keith Schelfhout; niece, Kari Marie Janssen-Schelfhout.
A private service will be held for the family.
A celebration of life and fellowship will be held March 15, 2025 from 12:30-3:30, at Appleton Alliance Church on 2693 W Grand Chute Blvd, Appleton, WI. All memorial contributions will be given to missions to spread the love of Jesus.
