Madalene A. Dumke was taken back to God. on Sunday, March 10, 2019, just three weeks before her 95th birthday. She passed away peacefully at Caring Hands Assisted Living in New Holstein where she resided for more than two years.
Madalene was born on March 31, 1924, to Henry and Helen (Ecker) Kiesner of Chilton, Wisconsin.
As a 1941 graduate of Chilton High School, "Miss Kiesner" began her 42 year teaching career at Howe School in rural Chilton. She later taught in Cudahy, Wisconsin, and St. Paul, Minnesota.
Madalene continued her education, graduating from the Outagamie County Normal School and later earning her BS degree in education from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh, and her BM degree in music education from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc.
Madalene was an avid flower gardner who also contributed to her Chilton community as a classroom and music teacher, church organist, choir director, private piano teacher, mentor, and treasured friend. As a dedicated educator, she maintained contact with many of "her kids" throughout her life.
Madalene is survived by her only child, a daughter, Ann M. and son-in- law Michael J. Giangreco. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Madalene was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Henry and his wife Alice; and her loving husband Raymond.

A memorial celebration of Madalene's life will be held on her 95th birthday, Sunday, March 31, in the Community Center located on the main floor of the Chilton City Hall, 42 School St., Chilton, Wisconsin, from 1 until 3:00 p.m.
