Linda Murie

Linda Jean Murie age 81 passed away at Azura Memory Care on August 22, 2024. Linda was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada on February 24, 1943.

 In 1965 she graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing. After emigrating to the United States in 1976 she earned a degree in fine arts at the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh majoring in fabric design. As well has her professional and artistic skills Linda stayed fit by swimming and hiking. All this was stolen from her with the onset of Alzheimer’s disease which ultimately resulted in her death. In 1966 she married Keith Stuart Murie and they remained married until her passing.

 Linda is also survived by two sons, Glen Alexander and William Robert (Rob), two granddaughters, Elliot (formerly known as Lillian and Rahne (formerly known as Elizabeth) and three sisters Sunnee Johnston, Paris, Ontario, Margaret Smith, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Jeanne Evans, Toronto Ontario. The family thanks Azura Memory Care and Generations Hospice for the excellent care Linda received.
