Kathleen "Sharie" Reichow (Halverson)

Kathleen “Sharie” (Halverson) Reichow from Appleton went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2023, with her family at her side. She was born April 14, 1942. 

She enjoyed her time with family, playing Rummikub and she played to win! Sharie tended to her patio garden and fed the squirrels daily.  Her love for Jesus is an understatement! She really enjoyed collecting beautiful religious statues.

Sharie is survived by her three daughters, Kathy (Ralph) Hooper, Kim (Jim) Prusynski, and Stacey Mischker; son, Michael Halverson; her two brothers, Thomas (Sharon) and Theordore Maedke; two sisters Susan (Steve) DeDecker and Jane (Wally) Gersmehl. She is greatly missed by her grandchildren; Nicole Halverson, Blake Hooper, David (Amy) and Michael (Justine) Prusynski, Kenneth (Katherine) and Thomas Mischker; her great grandchildren Calab and Castiel “Cass” Schneider, Adalynn Prusynski, and Finley Prusynski; numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives, and many friends. 

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by one son Howard “Mitch” Halverson and one sister Debra “Debbie” Maedke. 

She will also be greatly missed by her best friend of 50 years, Chris Houfek. They were sisters in Christ and called each other by “My Chris” and “My Kathy”. They raised their kids and prayed often together.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 a.m., on Friday, March 1, 2023, at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 W Marquette St, Appleton, with Fr. Jim Officiating with Deacon Thomas Maedke (Sharie’s brother).  Friends and Family may gather at the Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
