Jimmy (Jim) Wayne Foster 67, died peacefully at his home in Appleton on September 23, 2023, 5 weeks after suffering a stroke and 3 weeks after a diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer. No funeral services were held per his request. His ashes will be scattered over the Pacific Ocean.

Jim was born in Medicine Lodge, Kansas on November 22, 1955, to Claudine (Miller) and Harry Foster.  He moved to California with his parents and little brother William as a boy. His parents and brother preceded him in death. Jim had a variety of jobs but his true love was music. He was a gifted guitar player and was in many rock and roll bands in Napa and Mendocino Counties in his teens to his forties.

Jim and his wife moved to Texas in 2001,  then moved to Appleton in 2003. He was able to devote his talent for music to various local bands in Northeast Wisconsin until he suffered a mild stroke a few years ago. Jim loved bowling and was proud to have at least 3 sanctioned perfect games under his belt.

He is survived by his wife Colleen (Seagraves) of Appleton, stepsons Ryan and Justin Rose from a previous marriage, their spouses and children, and stepson Kahbran Shuda-- all of Mendocino County, California. Jim leaves behind step siblings Pete, Cheryl, and Fred Vanley and their spouses, aunts Martha McCarthy (Lonnie) of East Bend, KS, Sharron Lane of Texas, Bobbie (Chuck) Shannen of Salina, KS, uncles Curtis Miller (Carmen) of Pagosa Springs, CO, Warren Miller (Elaine) of Derby, KS, Steve Miller (Concetta) of Blue Springs, MO, Dennie Miller of Hoisington Springs, KS, and various cousins throughout the country.
