Jason Romalia

Jason Michael Romalia, 44 years old, passed away on June 4, 2023, in Fond du Lac, WI. He was born on November 7, 1978, in Fond du Lac, WI, to Nicholas Romalia and Gloria (Cappozzo/Bickelhaupt) Romalia.

Jason was a skilled concrete finisher who took pride in every job he undertook. His workmanship can be seen on nearly every street in the Fond du Lac area. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending much of his time hunting and spotting deer. Some of his fondest memories were in the woods, hunting with his father, Nick, or spending quality time with his daughter, Jaydin. Jason cherished the evenings when he could enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared by his mother, Gloria, while watching the Milwaukee Brewers play on TV. When he wasn't hunting or with his family, he could often be found showcasing his skills on the pool table. He had a passion for dirt biking, riding Harleys, and attending or participating in demolition derbies. Few people knew of his talent for art, as he had spent years compiling stacks of his sketch work, often sharing his knowledge and techniques with his daughter.

Jason is survived by his mother, Gloria Romalia; his daughter, Jaydin Romalia; Jaydin’s mother, Angela Smedberg; his sisters: Susan Bera (Brian Eggers), Sherry (Jim) Stoll, Debbie (Mark) Duel, and Tammy Fromm; his brothers: Todd Bickelhaupt (Ann), Jody Bickelhaupt (Savannah), Shawn Bickelhaupt (Janice); his nieces and nephews: Jennifer Nell, Jeremy Stoll, Jessica Almaraz, Ashley and Adam Bickelhaupt, Jacob Duel, Kendall Ahonen, Karissa Gesell, Hunter and Lexi Bickelhaupt, Taylor, Jordan, and Tannor Fromm, Emery Bickelhaupt, Jacob Bera, and Brittany Wege. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Romalia, and his brother-in-law, Daniel Bera.

A Celebration of Life for both Jason and his father Nicholas will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 2-9 PM at McDermott Park, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935.
