Edward Polar

Edward Maurice Polar Jr, age 70, of Neenah, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully, on Friday February 14, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 15, 1954, to Edward Polar Sr. and Arlene June Polar (Cartwright).

A graduate of Appleton East High School, Eddie served honorably in the United States Army from 1974 to 1975 before being medically discharged. He worked for and retired from the Neenah Foundry, where he was a dedicated employee for many years.

Eddie was a passionate outdoorsman who loved to embrace nature in all its forms. Whether it was fishing on the small lakes of Tomahawk or taking on the waves aboard a charter boat in the Florida Keys, his love for fishing was endless. He enjoyed hunting on his brother's land in New London and spent countless hours sledding and ice fishing with his three daughters. His love of music, dancing, and the simple joys of life defined the way he lived, making memories with his family and friends.

He is survived by his three daughters: Nicole, Andrea (Michael) Born, and Amy (Garry) Toddish; his beloved granddaughters, Isabelle, and step granddaughter, Layla; his brother, Arly (Michelle); his sisters, Marianne (Dave) and Carol (Dave); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Maurice Polar Sr. and Arlene June Polar (Cartwright).

In keeping with Eddie’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will be scheduled for this summer to honor his memory and the legacy of love he leaves behind.

Eddie’s family would like to thank all those who have supported them during this time and invite all to remember Eddie as the free spirit he was—forever exploring, loving, and living life to the fullest.
