Denise M. LeGault

Denise embraced life with a love for music, particularly the Grateful Dead, and the arts, showcasing many creative talents. Her compassion for animals, particularly cats, led her to rescue numerous feline friends over the years. She held a special place in her heart for her current beloved cats, Izzy and Uni. Her free-spirited nature led her to explore many places and experiences. At the age of 7, she packed her bags with the ambition to walk to Hollywood to pursue modeling. In high school, she ventured to New York City to see the Grateful Dead and even hitchhiked to spend a summer in Yosemite National Park. Later in life, she relished numerous family trips with her daughter and mother.

Denise will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her daughter, Sage LeGault (Milwaukee, WI), brothers Bryan LeGault (Fond Du Lac, WI) and Robert M. LeGault (Lehi, UT), mother Donna Vogt (Chilton, WI), and step-father Daniel Vogt (Chilton, WI). She was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. LeGault (Green Bay, WI).

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to those who provided exceptional care and compassion to Denise throughout her journey with schizophrenia and mental health challenges. Their dedication and support were invaluable: Psychiatrist Dr. David Zerrien in Oshkosh, Julie Blohm from Morton’s Pharmacy in Neenah, and Renee Peterson from Behavioral Health at Winnebago Human Services. Special thanks also go to Moments Hospice, particularly Amber, RN, for their exceptional service in caring for Denise and offering unwavering support to her family during her final days.

Denise’s vivacious spirit, her love for life's adventures, and the impact she had on those around her will remain a cherished part of her legacy.

Friends are asked to join the family for an open house reception to celebrate Denise’s life in shared stories and memories from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve located at 4815 N. Lynndale Drive in Appleton
