David W. Gruber

David "Grandpa" Walter Gruber, 80, of Hortonville, WI passed away on January 11, 2025.

David was born on April 12, 1944, to Violet (Hanson) Gruber and Clarence Gruber in Appleton, WI.

David worked for Great Northern Corporation for over thirty years. He enjoyed and took great pride in his work.

David delighted in being Grandpa to not only his grandchildren and great-grandchildren but to all the children he had the pleasure to have in his life. He loved sparking their imagination, teaching them new things and showing them all unconditional love. 

David was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Violet Gruber, his children Christina "Tina" Gruber and David Gruber, his sister Beverly (Gruber) Main, and his wife Peggy (Dumke) Gruber.

He is survived by his siblings John (Sharon) Gruber, Ken (Marilyn) Gruber, Ronald (Betty) Gruber, and Kathy Gruber, his children Richard, Angel, and Tammi, and his grandchildren and (great-grandchildren) Eric and Jessica (Blaze), Robert and Kelli (Emely), Autumn, Katrina and Tyler (Malachi and Azaeria), Tifiny and Cody (Axelynn and Zinnia), Amikah (Jack)

Service will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 752 Grandview Dr, Hortonville, WI 54944, On February 5, 2025, at 11 A.M., Visitation at 10:30 A.M.
