Connie G. Bayer

Connie G. Bayer, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 17, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born June 23, 1933 to the late Norvald and Elsie (Hammel) Smith. Connie was united in marriage to Gerald Bayer on September 8, 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Menasha. She enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play various sports throughout the years and most recently loved watching her great grandson at swimming lessons. She enjoyed many breakfast and lunch dates with her multitude of friends and family. She was a wonderful cook and loved to share with others. Connie is survived and will be deeply missed by her two sons: Kevin(Lona) Bayer and Keith(Heather Fredrich) Bayer; four grandchildren: Wyatt(Jenna) Bayer, Willow(Chris Matysik) Bayer, Lara(Dylan) Zorteau, and Rex Bayer; one great-grandson: Grey Zorteau. Connie was so looking forward to the arrival of her first

great-granddaughter in a couple weeks.

She is further survived by her sister Joan Gawlick, sister-in-law “Sammy” Smith, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry; brother, Doug Smith; brothers-in-law, Harold Miller and Jerry Gawlick.

 A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bridgewood Resort, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King or to your favorite charity.
