Cheryl Beres

 Cheryl A. Beres, 67, Neenah, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, at Cherry Meadows Hospice with her family by her side after an 18 month battle with lung cancer. She was born on March 18, 1956, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Dominic and Helen (Wodynski) Albanese. Cheryl was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School in West Allis and earned her Pharmacy Technician Associates Degree from Lakeshore Technical College. She was united in marriage to Bob Beres on June 28, 1975 at Mary Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in West Allis. She spent over 30 years working as a caregiver and manager at Tall Oaks of West Allis before retiring in 2021. She will always be remembered for her compassionate and selfless nature along with her love for her family, dogs, camping, and good wine.

Cheryl is survived by her husband: Bob; children: Donna (Jim) Young, Erin (Brian) Schmidt, Bobby (Mandy) Beres, and Jaimie (Jimmy) Johnson; grandchildren: Gabrielle, Dominic, Brayden, Luke, Landon, Colton, Easton, Cashtyn, and Emmie; siblings: Frank (Kim) Albanese and Lynn (Don) Zerkel; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents: Dominic and Helen Albanese; mother and father-in-law: Butch and Lois Beres; paternal grandparents: Frank and Louise Albanese; maternal grandparents: Casimir and Apolonia Wodynski; and many aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Brewfinity Brewing Company, N58W39800 Industrial Rd., Ste. D, Oconomowoc.
