Carol Jean Keating

Carol Jean (Brautigam) Keating, age 81, of Shiocton WI passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on September 8, 1943 in Appleton WI, the daughter of Michael and Rita (Young) Brautigam.

She graduated from Appleton West High School in 1961. Shortly after, she married Roger Seifert and they were blessed with three children, Angie, Amy and Scott. Later in life, she married Clifford Keating and the two of them enjoyed 36 wonderful years together. Carol was hard working, a cleaning fanatic and a great decorator of her beautiful home. She took much pride in her family. She definitely had an eye for things that sparkled, however nothing made her eyes sparkle more than the precious time spent with her great grandchildren as a "GG!" She enjoyed being silly with them, giving them scooter rides and sugaring them up for their mamas.

Carol is survived by her children and their families: Angela Seifert (special friend Gary), Lindsey (Charlie, Rhett, Sawyer) Spiegelberg, Lauren Gay, Amy (Dan) Enge, Jena (Matthew, Henry, Simon, Lana) BIllingsley, Justin Enge, Scott (Krista) Seifert, Tiffany and Justin. Her stepchildren and their families: Tracey, Kari, Andi and Kate, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers: Dick, Tom, Mike, Steve (Marsha) Brautigam and sisters: Mary (Bud) Thein, Ruth (John) VanMeeter, Nancy Doering. She treasured many nieces and nephews, especially the times they spent together on the farm!

Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Clifford and his son John, her mother and father, brother Bob Brautigam, brother in law Ron Doering and her sister in laws: Bev, Sharon, Sue and Kathy Brautigam.

The family would like to say thank you to Kristen and the care team from Interim Healthcare. Carol's wishes were for a private celebration of life, which will be held at a later date. Donations in Carol's name can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
