Carl Allen Herrick Jr.

Carl Allen Herrick Jr. passed away in his sleep on October 1, 2024. Carl was born August 19, 1950, to Carl Herrick Sr. and Viola Herrick in Appleton. He was wed to Shirley Herrick on October 20, 1973. They had three sons, Timothy, Jeffrey, and Steven. Carl was a diesel mechanic for many years at CW Transport and Fox Valley Truck. He had a lifelong passion for airplanes with the Stearman being his favorite. He enjoyed spending time camping, riding his ATV, operating radio control airplanes, and hunting with his boys and later, his grandsons. He was the life of the party, telling stories and making brandy old fashions or root beer floats. Watch out! He will get your nose! Remember, it is Carl with a “C.”

He will be greatly missed by his children: Timothy (Shaunna) Herrick, Jeffrey (Olivia) Herrick, and Steven (Sabrina) Herrick; siblings Jim Herrick and Tony (Laura) Herrick; and grandchildren Corbin, Collin, Carter, McKenzie, Clayton, and Dani.

He was proceeded in death by both his parents and his sister, Catherine Herrick.

In lieu of funeral services, the family will host a celebration of life at Lucky Dog’z, 157 S Green Bay Rd, Neenah, on October 19, 2024, from 11am - 3 pm. A casual memorial service will be held at noon followed by a potluck luncheon. Please bring a dish to pass. All are welcome to remember Carl as he was in life.
