Barbara L Blum (nee: Kleinhans)

Appleton – Barbara L Blum, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024, at her home. She was born on September 13, 1949, the daughter of Lloyd and Beatrice (Hlavachek) Kleinhans. She attended Brillion High School, graduating in 1967. Barb was united in marriage to Alan Blum on October 9, 1971, at St. Mary Parish, Brillion. She will always be remembered for her kind and generous nature, along with her passion for her children, grandchildren, and slot machines.

Barb is survived by her children: Kurt Blum, Lance (Kristin) Blum, Idette (Dan) Adams and Rosa (John) Moyles; sisters: Natalie (Ricky) Urban and Jocelyn (Spin) Collins; mother: Beatrice (Patti) Kleinhans, grandchildren: Lauren Adams, Parker and Little John Moyles, Kaden, Alex, and Tristan Reif; niece: Kristi (Kevin) Knapp and nephew: Troy (Carlye) Prochnow, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years: Alan Blum, father: Lloyd Kleinhans, two sisters: Kristi and Kimberly Kleinhans.

Gone from us is that smiling face,

The cheerful pleasant ways,

The heart that won so many friends,

In bygone, happy days.

A life made beautiful by kindly deeds,

A helping hand for others’ needs.

To a beautiful life,

Comes a happy end,

She died as she lived,

Everyone’s friend.
