Ann Marie Strutz

August 30, 1948 — January 2, 2019

Ann M. Strutz

Ann Marie Strutz, age 70, passed away in her sleep on January 2, 2019 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Appleton, WI. Ann was born in Appleton on August 30, 1948 to Kenneth and Irene “Tudy” (Balliet) Strutz.

She attended St. Therese Grade School (K-8) and graduated from Xavier High School in 1966. She went on to earn a B.S. of Education degree majoring in Physical Education and Health from UW-Oshkosh.

Ann worked at Presto Products for 27 years. She played competitive women’s fast-pitch softball for many seasons around the State of Wisconsin.

Ann was a very independent person who enjoyed living on a farmette out in the country near Dale, WI. She loved the outdoors, animals, and the beauty of nature.

Ann was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 1989 at the age of 41, yet she continued to live her life in her own unique style. In addition to traditional medical care, Ann utilized alternative medical treatments for 15 years to help manage her disease.
In November of 2017, her condition advanced to Primary Progressive MS. She moved from her home into Atrium Acute Care of Little Chute in January of 2018.

Ann is survived by her sister Liz Losselyong (Jim), her nephew Quinn (Katherine) Losselyong and their son Henry, and her niece Tiffany Losselyong. She is further survived by her caring neighbors of the Town of Dale, cousins, and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, and her grandparents Henry and Marie Strutz and Stephen D. and Irene Marie Balliet.
She was a big believer in the Rawhide Program. The boys and their captains helped Ann to stay in her home for many years. She always looked forward to their visits and was ever grateful for their help.

The family thanks Atrium of Little Chute for the care they gave Ann this past year and to all those who have helped her over the years.
Per Ann’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A private ceremony of interment will be held in the future.
Memorial contributions can be made in Ann’s name to the Rawhide About Face Program at Rawhide, Inc., E7475 Rawhide Road, New London, WI 54961.

Familiar last words from Ann: “It’s me! No problem! Have a good one!’”
