Alexander Louis Schmitzer

Alexander L. Schmitzer, Jr. age 83, passed away on January 24, 2023. Alex was born on October 13, 1939 in Wisconsin to the late Alexander Sr. and Aurelia (Krautkramer) Schmitzer. He was a graduate of Neenah High School. After graduation he served honorably as a member of the U.S. Army. He was very patriotic and proud of his service. He was employed as a travelling salesman selling carpet. Later he worked for Bergstrom as a member of their hospitality team. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time at the YMCA and made many good friends there.

He is survived by 2 children: Alex (partner Salley Bauer) Schmitzer, III and Paula (Harry) Kissenger, grandchildren, Harold (Paige) Kissinger and Sommer Kissenger and Alex Schmitzer IV, great-grandchildren, Harold Kissenger, Jr. Aubrey Kissinger and Colt Nyberg, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements will be announced at www.hovcremation.com.
