It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander William Horkman on February 5, 2025. Alex had the most gentle and loving soul. He grew up in De Pere, WI. He enjoyed spending summers at his Grandparents cabin in Crandon WI and camping at Bay Shore Park. He was a talented artist, enjoyed hiking, and loved animals, especially his beloved cat Casey. He loved spending time with his family especially his brother Aaron and his cousin Justin.
Alex is preceded in death by his Grandparents Louis and Genevieve Dorn, Grandfather Ronald Horkman, Great Grandparents Francis and Gladys Le Anna, uncles James Dorn Sr. , Lloyd (Tyke) Ferron, and Ralph Thyssen.
Alex is survived by his Mother Mary Horkman (Dorn) and Steve Van Hoof. His father William Horkman, his brother Aaron Horkman, Grandmother Linda Horkman, Aunts and Uncles Christine Ferron, Barbara and Gene Manders, Annette Thyssen, Ken and Rhonda Rummel, Allan Dorn, Robert and June Dorn, Melvin Dorn, and Jason Horkman. Along with many cousins and extended family.
Alex’s dad Bill is having a mass at Holy Cross Church, 3009 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay. March 8, 2025. Visitation 9:30-10:30. Mass at 10:30.
Alex’s mom Mary is having a celebration of life March 9, 2025, 11am to 4 pm at Freedom Town Hall, W 2004 County Road S in Freedom, WI. Please bring any photos of Alex you would like to share.
